More Than You Can Imagine

by ggerhauser

Morning Thought: The Father cares about you more than you can imagine. He sees everything that you go through. He knows all your thoughts and worries. He hears your arguments and feels your pain. And the good news: he promises to sustain his children. “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you” (Isaiah 46:4 NIV).

Morning Thought: There’s no better place to flourish than in God’s house. Worshipping the King, hearing his voice and receiving encouragement from our spiritual family makes us stronger. An authentic church provides strong roots for your everyday life to bear good fruit. The devil delights in pulling apart healthy relationships, but God loves to bring people together. “But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good” (Psalm 52:8-9 NIV).

Overcoming False Accusations

by ggerhauser

Morning Thought: The age old tactic of the enemy has been to falsely accuse God and his people. But you can overcome satan’s schemes by letting God’s word work in your life and putting your faith in Christ’s blood. “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death” (Revelation 12:11 NIV).

Glen Gerhauser was born and raised in Long Island, NY. When he was almost eighteen he had an encounter with Jesus that changed his life. From that point he began studying Scripture and preparing for ministry. 1. On October 7, 2016 I saw that God had healed the troublesome split (down the center) of my left, big toe nail that I have had for seasons and that the doctors worked on and were not able to fix!

  2. I have appreciated everything I have seen on this site. My names is Rev. Bill Webb, and I Pastor Bible Believers First Assembly of Grand Prairie, Texas. Our city sets directly between Dallas and Ft. Worth Texas.

I trust this testimony will help to convince everyone that God is always aware of us and seeks to guide our lives and prepare us as vessels to accomplish His glorious will not only in our own lives but also as instruments for those who will meet us in ministry.

In 1966 I played on the varsity football team and would jog home each day after practice at my high school. While passing The First Assembly of God Church I sat down to refresh myself. The Pastor noticed me and we began to talk. He remarked that He felt I knew The Lord, I told him I was a Baptist but he wanted to pray for me and felt he had a word from God for me. He remarked again that God had a plan for my life and it was somehow connected to this Church, he stated. That was 42 years ago . I preached that man’s funeral 12 years ago, I called him Dad and he called me son until the day he died. Today November the 21st 2018 I am Senior Pastor of Bible Believers First Assembly of God Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. I am so glad to tell you God knows exactly where you are dear one and will you dare to believe God. Believe Him to direct your path and be at peace with Him. He said to us all in Hebrews 13:5 “I will never leave thee nor forsake thee”, and Matthew 28:20 “I am with you always even unto the end of the age”. You can find me at the Church in Grand Prairie, or on Facebook at Bible Believers First Assembly of God.

  3. Back in the 70’s my Mother, Rev. M.E. Taylor, was driving home from a Assemblies of God Church in Sardis, Ky. My mother co-pioneered this church with Rev. Anna Mae Wilson.
The roads in the area at that time were very narrow and the bridges were just wide enough for 1 car. As mother came around the curve, standing in front of the bridge was a full grown cow. Mother had no time to hit the brakes, but she cried out the name of Jesus. The Lord heard and then she was on the other side of the bridge! This indeed was a miracle. The cow had not moved and was still blocking the bridge! God is faithful.

  4. My name is Timothy Thu Tran.

As a young man, I was an alcoholic, who was against Christianity. I persecuted Christians and committed blasphemy against God. Also, during that time in my life, I was experiencing a terrible sickness.

In 1982 I gave my life to The Lord and got saved! God forgave me of my sins, healed me of my sickness, and baptized me in The Holy Spirit! My life was completely changed in the most amazing and positive way.

In 1993 I was called by The Lord to attend Bible School and started serving and held various leadership roles within my Church.

In 2003 once again God called upon me, but this time to step into a pastoral position. I have been the Senior Pastor at Vietnamese Christian Assembly of God Church located in Charlotte, North Carolina ever since then.

God is good, God is my Savior, God is my Healer, and He is worthy of my praise!

  5. Misty Burdette was dying. Breast cancer, which had been in remission for eight years, had returned with a vengeance. And this time doctors weren’t talking cure, but using phrases such as quality of life, slowing the progression, and extending her time, because there is no known cure for stage 4 breast cancer.

Burdette, who is the women’s director at Woodward (Oklahoma) First Assembly, was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer in 2007 when she was 32 years old. Following a double mastectomy and IV chemo therapy, it appeared Burdette seemingly had a full recovery. But in March 2015, the cancer suddenly burst back onto the scene at the stage 4 level.

Stage 4 breast cancer means that the breast cancer has metastasized — spread — from the breast to other areas of the body. Burdette had metastases in her lungs, hips, pelvis, and spine.

After the diagnosis, Burdette spent nearly four years enduring an ongoing battery of chemotherapy, proven — and not-so-proven — cancer inhibiting drugs, and made a variety of life changes in order to give herself the best chance to extend her life. Her PET scans, which are used to identify the location of cancer in the body, would typically initially reveal some regression of the cancer one month, followed by progression the next — but over time, the cancer advances were steadily increasing.

“Once the cancer enters your hips and pelvis, the pain in your legs is excruciating,” Burdette says. “My [adoptive] mother had breast cancer, and she was bed-ridden for over three years. Sometimes the pain is so unbearable, you feel like you’d rather die.”

Burdette admits that one night the pain was so unbearable, she prayed that God would either take her life or take the pain away . . . within hours, the pain was gone.

Despite all this, Burdette worked a full-time job through October 2018 at a local hospital, but then doctors told her she needed to stop working and go on disability in order to reduce stress and manage her pain. Throughout her battle with cancer, Burdette did her best to limit her pain medications to non-narcotics as she knew the addiction rate to opioids among cancer patients was high.

However, the reason for doctors to push Burdette into disability wasn’t just about pain — they were preparing her for her final fight for life.

“In October,” Burdette explains, “my PET scan came back absolutely horrible. My lymph nodes, the internal mammary chain in my chest, that whole chain lit up with cancer. They also found another spot in my lungs and a spot on my liver.”

Throughout the journey, Burdette says her church family and churches in other parts of the country were continual lifting her up in prayer.

“It seemed that every time she would go to the doctor, the results would be worse,” says Woodward First Assembly pastor Brad Smith, who has been ministering at the church for about a year. “She was really struggling with it . . . and then, she got serious with God.”

“After hearing Pastor Brad’s story of healing, I started asking him about what to do to receive what God has promised,” Burdette recalls.

In addition to providing counseling, Smith pointed her to specific Scriptures and encouraged her to spend quality time worshipping God.

“Once I got to building my faith, getting more worship in my life, and truly spending that quality time with God, things started to change for me,” Burdette says.

Then in November, just weeks after Burdette received her crushing PET scan report, Smith preached on being thankful, asking, Are you truly thankful the gifts and life God has given you?

“The service was amazing,” Burdette says. “At the end of his message, pastor was telling people to press in a little bit more, and I was just trying to get to that next level of worship.”

Suddenly, Burdette felt an intense presence of the Holy Spirit and for a moment, everything stopped.

“At that point, I looked up and from the deepest place in my soul, I thanked God for my healing,” she says. “That day, the Holy Spirit did a miracle in my life, that day my body changed — I could feel that my body was different.”

For skeptics, feel and fact are typically on the opposite ends of the spectrum.

“I would tell people that I feel different, that God healed me, and they would look at me weird and then suggest I was just having a good day,” says Burdette.

But if Burdette thought the looks she received when she claimed she was healed — as she didn’t have any medical/scientific proof — were intense, things got a lot more intense on Feb. 4 when she went in for her next PET scan.

The last time her PET scan was lit up like a Christmas tree, with cancer running rampant in her body. This time? The doctor looked and looked again. He called a colleague, who confirmed what he was seeing. This wasn’t supposed to be possible . . . .

Every indication of cancer was gone — the scan was completely clean!

My doctor showed me the scan,” Burdette says. “On my right lung you can see one little straight-line scar. But no indication of cancer.” In fact, even her bones were recalcifying, with no sign of degeneration!

Burdette says she left the doctor’s office in tears of joy and literally dancing as her doctor now agreed with her. “He told me, ‘Yes, you were right. I totally believe this [result] is from a higher power . . . I believe Jesus healed you.’”

“The doctors were dumbfounded,” Smith says. “But although many people were praying for Misty, I believe this was the result of a journey of personal faith — she got serious with God.”

Smith says the since his arrival last year, he’s seen the Holy Spirit at work at the altar and within lives, such as Burdette’s — he’s also seen the church grow from averaging fewer than 100 congregants to averaging 230 a week.

On Feb. 10, Burdette shared her miracle story in church. Smith followed her testimony by issuing a call to the altar for healing. The response was overwhelming as the altar flooded with people, and many later reporting being healed of pains and illnesses.

“People ask what I did differently,” Burdette says. “The only thing I changed was how I believed and how I worshipped God.”

  6. My name is Cheryl Hebert, and this is my testimony about a healing heavenly Father Who answers our prayers.

In 2014, I was told by my OB-GYN that I had entered Menopause and would no longer have a monthly cycle. On Thanksgiving day, 2016, I began to bleed again. I made an appointment with my doctor who did an exam, drew blood and scheduled me for an ultrasound.

During my Ultrasound, the technician and the doctor were laughing and joking with me to relax me. They both became silent as the doctor informed me that they saw a mass and she would need to do a biopsy. A few weeks later, I went in for the procedure. When I awoke, I was told that the mass was so hard that they were unable to penetrate it to obtain a sample.

My doctor said to me, “I’m not saying you have cancer, but I am sending you to a gynecologic oncologist for further testing. At this appointment, the doctor reviewed my results and said I needed to have a hysterectomy. He said that “the mass” was not going away, and it would be better for me to deal with [it} now rather than later. The set my surgery up for 3/2/17.

During this time, my church was in a revival. Despite working full-time and being a caregiver for my elderly Mother, I went as much as I could. I prayed for The Lord’s will to be done and for His will to be the desire of my heart. I prayed for Mercy and Grace over my life. A few days before my surgery, I went up for prayer and revealed to my church family what was going on. Brother Jeff Taylor, Pastor Shell, and Missy Osbon prayed over me. I felt peace overcome me and a sense of wellbeing. It really is the peace that surpasses understanding.

The night before my surgery, my church prayed over me again, and I told my husband that God had revealed to me that my Mass was gone. They would open me up and would find nothing. The next day, I went in for my surgery, and afterward I was told the doctor would see me before they discharged me. He came in to give me my post-surgical instructions, and then he said, “Funny thing, when I took your uterus out, I cut it open to look at the mass, and THERE WAS NOT ANYTHING THERE!” My husband and I looked at each other and laughed, because we knew that our heavenly Father had healed me. We serve a mighty God.

  7. I Thanked GOD for the miracle HE Did in Healing my left shoulder area from a new, considerable pain yesterday after I Prayed To HIM To Heal it!

    Chaplain Phil

We don’t even know where to begin or how to share the testimony. We feel like there are no words that can fully describe God’s Grace and Faithfulness to us and to our dearest Thea.

It started with the desire to start a family however few years passed and it was not coming to fruition. We then sought the help of a Fertility Team. After some labs and other testing the Team could not really give us a reason or cause of our infertility, but the Doctor recommended that I start on fertility meds, so I did. During this time we hesitantly made our needs known to family, friends, and even strangers we believed were put into our lives during that time. They started praying for us. One can only imagine how that was affecting us relationally, mentally, financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Not long after that, our prayer was answered. In August 2018, we found out that we were pregnant. We were ecstatic and we thanked those who prayed with us.

In October 2018, we were scheduled for our first trimester ultrasound. We were excited and couldn’t wait for it. For the first time, we would have a glance of our baby in the ultrasound. We wanted to know what the baby would be like in utero. One thing we agreed going into our appointment was to keep the gender a secret until the baby is born. The ultrasound took some time, but finally the sonographer was done and informed us that the doctors would be in shortly.

The team of doctors came in and we were anxious to hear great news about our baby. One can only imagine the anticipation and excitement in us but only to be heartbroken of the result of the ultrasound. The lead doctor informed us of abnormal findings in the ultrasound. She pointed to us what they saw as multiple abnormal swelling or called cystic hygroma in the growing fetus. Because of the location and the timing of the swelling, we were told of very poor prognosis, a 10% survival rate. Because of the severity and complexity of the findings, we were referred to the genetic counselor, who met with us right after the ultrasound. The counselor explained to us in detail what the diagnosis meant and what our options would be considering the poor survival rate even if the genetic testing was normal. We were also told that if we chose to keep the pregnancy to full term that the baby would be severely deformed and would not live past a year old. It was made clear to us that there was no treatment but only diagnostic testing to confirm or rule out the findings. We didn’t know if we were to rejoice or mourn the life of our baby. To say that we left the clinic that day with a heavy heart was an understatement. We could not put to words the pain rushing through us that day and the weeks to come.

After giving ourselves time to pray and after making difficult and painful conversations, we let our team of providers know that as long as the baby was not in distress, we were keeping the pregnancy and agreed to go through some diagnostic testing. No choice was an easy choice. It was the most painful time that any of us had ever experienced. The unknown forced us to literally take one day, one test and result at a time. During this time we knew we needed help and support. We sought the prayers of friends and family. We met with Pastor Shell for counseling. We could testify that God had shown Himself and His words more than enough to us through them. They spoke God’s Words and Promises to us and over our circumstances. Those Words and Promises carried us through our most difficult time. We were hurting, worried, scared, doubting, and weak but God’s Words and Promises comforted us, strengthened us, reassured us, and empowered us.

Some of God’s words and promises spoken/ given to us are the following:

    1 Cor 1:9 – God is Faithful
James 1:5 – God gives us wisdom
John 19:30 – “It is finished”
Jeremiah 1:5 – God knew our daughter
Psalm 139: 13-14 – Our daughter is wonderfully and fearfully made

    … and many more.

As we complied with our doctor’s appointments and waited patiently on test results, we continued to hold on to those Words.

Second trimester came and it was time for more testing. Another ultrasound was scheduled to check on the growth and development of the baby. By this time, we wanted to know everything about our baby. We wanted to know the gender (a girl), her movements, her measurements, and all the details. We had not met her yet but we had so much love for her already. Everyday we called her by her name, took time to talk to her, let her know she was not alone, that she was loved and prayed for.

It took time before we got all the test results but first it was the ultrasound and we were excited to see that the swelling were almost gone. We couldn’t be happier. Many weeks later, around Thanksgiving, we got a call and it was our doctor telling us that the specimen from the amniocentesis and the genetic testing came back normal. We couldn’t believe it. We were crying of joy. God heard us. We had one last test left. It was the echocardiogram. January 2019 came and we had that done at Children’s Heart Center of Atlanta (CHOA). We were given the result right after the test and again we were so happy to hear that the baby’s heart was normal. We were speechless, we didn’t know what to say but our hearts were full of joy and gratitude. Our doctors could not explain to us how it happened but they rejoice with us for all the normal test results.

Third Trimester came and we were just so happy to be in the clear, until we got into a car accident. While driving, my car was rear-ended. I was terrified but God was on our side once again. We were checked up, and baby and I were safe. My car was intact, not even a dent found.

God had shown Himself to us over And over AND over again! We praise and thank Him for all of it!

May 7th came and our baby girl was born, just in time for Mother’s Day. She was born without any complications. She was healthy, beautiful, and perfect. We could not have asked for the ‘bestest’ gift.

Our Daughter is 4 months old this week and let us tell you that she has been on target with her milestones and that we don’t see any signs/symptoms of cystic hygroma or any of the diagnoses that we were told.

What we just shared to you is just a taste of the many miracles and work God has done in our lives.

  9. For about a week the small of my back was bad, and my shins of my forelegs were burning.

It was painful sleeping in the bed, the recliner, the adjustable bed, and it was more comfortable sleeping sitting up.

I ran into my pastor and his wife at a Christian bookstore, and they were surprised to see me in pain. I asked them to ask the church to pray for me and told them I was scheduled at the orthopedic center in a few days.

They took X-rays of my lower back at the orthopedic center and indicated to me that it did not look good and was told they would order an MRI of the back.

Later that day at home, JESUS told me to do something for an hour, and I Obeyed HIM! One hour later JESUS miraculously Healed my back and my forelegs!

The men of the city said to Elisha, “Sir, you can see this city is in a nice place, but the water is bad. That is why the land cannot grow crops.”

Elisha said, “Bring me a new bowl and put salt in it.”
They brought the bowl to Elisha.

Then he went out to the place where the water began flowing from the ground. Elisha threw the salt into the water and said, “THE LORD Said, ‘I Am Making this water pure! From now on this water will not cause any more death or keep the land from growing crops.’”

The water became pure and is still good today. It happened just as Elisha had said. 2 Kings 2:19-22 ERV)

You may remember in the 1st Testimony in Chapter 1 where the doctor saw that JESUS miraculously Healed my back that was broken in 3 places!

  10. I love the church I go to, Place of Faith at Net [Oklahoma City, Oklahoma]! You can praise God! The bishop is amazing and he teaches God’s word so that it’s easy to understand and sooo much of God’s love!

    Shawnee, Oklahoma

  11. We go to church Sunday and Wednesday.
They have the best Sunday school and young adult classes.
    We love it there!

    Dunlap, Tennessee

  12. The church I go to in Moscow is a wonderful place.
It targets the younger generation, as well as the older generation, with day care & Sunday school.
I can drive down the road and be in church, or if ur sick and can’t make it, u can watch it all from home live or past sermons.
