Jesus Has Given To me — freely I give to you.

The 1st Testimony,
Testimony and Miracles,
is a combination of a number of Miracles that Jesus Did to Help me and  takes about 22 minutes to read (you should be able to remember where you leave off),
and Jesus Helped me write it!

Testimony and Miracles

+

To Him Who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.  Revelation 1:5b (NKJV)

And they overcame him by the blood of The Lamb,
and by the word of their testimony and they loved not their lives unto the death.  Revelation 12:11 (KJV)

My parents were going to pay for my college and dental school for me to be a dentist.

After graduating from high school,
I left to make it on my own,
and I asked that my friends not be told of my decision,
because they might try to talk me out of it.

+

So, I left Fort Thomas, Kentucky and moved to the low rent Over-The-Rhine area of northern downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

During the week,
I looked for jobs in the high concentrated businesses of downtown Cincinnati.

After 2 business weeks I could not get a job,
even washing dishes at Frisch’s,
for there was a recession going on.

On that Friday evening,
I was walking along in upper downtown Cincinnati with no change in my pockets,
and I walked into a phone booth!

Once I was in the phone booth,
I noticed a tract on the shelf!

I didn’t know what a tract was,
though I Was baptized by immersion,
after I knew Jesus, The Lord Of Lords was raised from the dead when I was 12 years old,
took The Holy Bible they gave me then and read a chapter a day with any cross references cover to cover with only The Holy Ghost to interpret the Holy Scriptures to me,
and I kept myself and a number of my classmates morally in line,
instead of living like poo poo.

I took the tract back to my room in the Over-The-Rhine area.

Have you ever read something that had truth in it,
and it seemed to jump out to you?

This is what happened when I read the Christian professional folded over piece of paper that tells you how to get Saved from going to Hell.

My back was against-the-wall and things weren’t going the way I wanted them to.

I prayed hard to God, The Father and asked Him to forgive all of my sins (wrong doings);
He knew I was sincere,
and He let me know He forgave me even though I didn ‘t actually feel anything!

Immediately after this,
I prayed hard to Jesus Christ (The Lord Of Lords) to come into my heart,
as soon as I did this,
Jesus Christ came into my heart and for the first time in my life I actually felt God!

I read about God before and heard about God before,
but this is the first time this happened;
I felt The Holy Ghost start at the top of my head and come all the way down and covered my feet!

It was so wonderfully overwhelming that I cried, even though I had played football and boxed in high school.

If this happened to you,

“the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light.

And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow,
a light has shined”

From then on,
Jesus began to preach,
“Turn from your sins and turn to God,
because the Kingdom of Heaven is near”.   Matthew 4:16,17 (NLT)

God our Savior showed us how good and kind He is.

He saved us because of His mercy and not because of any good things that we have done.

God washed us by the power of The Holy Spirit.

He gave us new birth and a fresh beginning.

God sent Jesus Christ our Savior to give us  His Spirit.

Jesus treated us much better than We deserve.

He made us acceptable to God and gave us the hope of etenal life.  Titus 3.4-7 (CEV 1995)

“An ounce of experience is worth a ton of theory. “

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,
I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh:
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams:  Acts 2:17 (KJV)

5 years later Jesus,
The Lord Of Lords,
appeared to me in a vision with A Flaming Whirlwind next to Him!

I was aware of my surroundings,
alert, and wide awake.

Jesus, The Lord Of Lords and The Flaming Whirlwind were above some and toward the front of me!

The Flaming Whirlwind eventually withdrew in disgust of me and Jesus, The Lord Of Lords stayed and looked at me with deep concern until the vision ended!

I found out later that I was involved in sin,
that I didn’t think of as sin,
even though it was in the Holy Bible,
which I had read years before but it was not registering in my mind,
as it should have been.

That sin I stopped and asked God‘s forgiveness for.

How loving and just is our God!

“As many as I love,
I rebuke and chasten.

Therefore be zealous and repent.”  Revelation 3:19 (NKJV)

“but as for me,
I kuow that my Redeemer lives,
and that He wíll stand upon the earth at last.  Job 19:25 (NLT)

5 years later in 1977 I was at the lowest part of my life.

On an afternoon I cried out to God to help me and nothing happened until I arrived home.

After entering the home Jesus, The Lord Of Lords came into the living room!

I knew His presence even though I did not see Him,
and His love was greater there than all of the people that have ever loved us put into one split second!

Jesus, The Lord Of Lords has a sense of humor and He cheered me up!

Even though they were not told,
Peter, James, and John knew that it was Moses and Elijah when The Lord Of Lords was transfigured (Matthew 17.1-9.  Mark 9:2-12.  Luke 9:28-36).

And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in Him.

May your roots go down deep into the soil of God‘s marvelous love.

And may you have the power to understand,
as all God‘s people should,
how wide,
how long,
how high,
and how deep His love really is.

May you experience the love of Christ,
though it is so great you will never fully understand it.

Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  Ephesians 3:17-19 (NLT)

Jesus said to him,
“‘You shall love The Lord your God with all of your heart,
with all your soul,
and with all your mind”.
‘This is the first and great commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38 (NKJV)

Later in 1977,
I was reading the greatest commandment,
and it finally got my attention for the first time.

Why wasn’t I taking necessary time in my prayers to love God with the different parts of my being and why weren’t the churches and even famous preachers telling us how to do it?

After starting it and at times using spiritual warfare to do it,
I sent a letter to the twelve churches in Fort Thomas,
then to all of the erected officials of Fort Thomas,
and later to the Fort Thomas Living magazine [and is in this website later in Chapter 4],
which they published for the Fort Thomas residents my edited letter.

From one of the church’s prayer meetings it went national and was talked about on the 700 Club
[on the air:
Ben Kinchlow wanted to bring it up,
but Pat Robertson,
who had the final say,
did not want to talk about it — the audience and the 700 Club would have been better off going further to know how to successfully obey the greatest commandment,
and you can see in detail how to succeed with it later in Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 of these Testimonies and Miracles;
though it was talked about on the 700 Club,
the coverage was woefully inadequate and a disservice to Jesus‘s greatest commandment].

I went to 100 to 200 churches to plant the seed to obey God‘s greatest commandment.

Later I wrote the book How To Love God More,
which is in this website [later in Chapter 5],
and includes some of the Miracles that occurred while practicing loving God with all of my heart, soul, mind, and strength.

In the spring of 2014 some proud man,
in a church that has “love Jesus” as part of its slogan,
told me no one can obey the greatest commandment,
and I told him before the people that I and others are living proof that it can be obeyed,
and God is a loving and just God and would not give us a command too hard for us to obey it.

+

It is true that we live in the world,
but we do not fight from worldly motives.

The weapons we use in our fight are not the world’s weapons but God‘s powerful weapons,
which we use to destroy strongholds.

We destroy false arguments;
we pull down every proud obstacle that is raised against the knowledge of God;
we take every thought captive and make it obey Christ.  2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (GNB)

So if you break the smallest commandment and teach others to do the same,
you will be the least in the Kingdom of Heaven.

But anyone who obeys God‘s laws and teaches them will be great in the Kingdom of Heaven.  Matthew 5:19 (NLT)

God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.  Matthew 5:4 (NLT)

In 1983 I lost my only son,
in what appeared to be the longest fought custody battle in the nation at the time.

While on the interstate,
I bellowed in my car where I could not be heard.

I did not ask for them,
but the boys in the neighborhood came and visited with me whether it was sunny, icy, snowy, or raining,
for one year — every, single day!

It was God,
Who sent the children to make up for the pain.

The more you love God,
the more He will love you.

As the scripture says,
“I loved Jacob,
but I hated Esau”.  Romans 9:13 (GNB)

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.  Psalm 23:4 (KJV)

On October 17, 1985 in the ER at St. Luke Hospital in Fort Thomas,
I went into ventricular fibrillation.

The doctor shocked me with the paddles and beat me on the chest but to no avail.

After six minutes I was a different color,
and a man in training for a fire department,
who was in this Blue Room prayed for me in Jesus Name!

As soon as he said this prayer,
I opened my eyes and said,
“What’s going on here?”!

The man’s name was John Fangman (Slack),
whom my mother held back in the fifth grade.

He came to my hospital room afterwards with Glenn Shmitt from American Airlines,
who he and his wife helped me for a year afterward.

The last time I talked to John Slack he was in Idaho with his own large family,
and was getting ready to be a medical Christian missionary in Sri Lanka,
and John has since passed on.

The doctor after this helped the poor in Central America and passed on in an airplane crash.

Years later,
a hospital found out about me and asked me to be a volunteer chaplain;
after praying later,
I accepted.

And I beheld,
and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne,
and the beasts,
and the elders:
and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand,
and thousands of thousands;
saying with a loud voice,
Worthy is The Lamb that was slain to receive power,
and riches,
and wisdom,
and strength,
and honor,
and glory,
and blessing.  Revelation 5:11,12 (KJV)

O Lord Thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul;
Thou hast redeemed my life.  Lamentations 3:58 (KJV)

After the emergency room,
I was moved to the intensive care unit for a week.

The nurses would come in and turned tapes over and changed tapes of the entire New Testament,
read by Efram Zimbalist, Jr.,
who passed on in 2014.

The head cardiologist Holmes walked into my room and told me that I should be in a pine box,
and that I was retired (from the business that I owned for 14 years).

During the over 4 weeks in the hospital,
I had lost a third of my heart.

When I stepped out of the car to go into the house on that December day,
an animal made a comforting sound like gnawing on wood.

That next morning after I sat down to breakfast at the kitchen table,
there were birds on the branches of the apple tree that came up to inches from the kitchen window to the kitchen table [that I am now typing on].

A bald eagle landed on the apple tree branch that came within inches of the kitchen window!

I called the Cincinnati Zoo and told them about it.

Miraculously the other birds did not fly away nor did the bald eagle attack at the other birds!

For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast,
and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward;
how shall we escape,
if we neglect so great salvation;
which at the first began to be spoken by The Lord,
and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him;
God also bearing them witness,
both with signs and wonders,
and with divers miracles,
and gifts of The Holy Ghost,
according to His own will?  Hebrews 2.2-4 (KJV)

“If you love Me,
you will obey My commandments.

I will ask The Father,
and He will give you another Helper,
Who will stay with you forever.  John 14:15, 16 (GNB)

My life had changed.

For a year l didn’t drive a car.

During this time I went to the famous Cleveland Clinic for awhile,
and Glenn Schmitt with American Airlines made a special trip and wheeled me onto the airplane.

Instead of going up the stairs at home,
a church brought in a daybed and put it in the dining room.

As I lay there,
I could basically only see the sky and the trees through the 2 front windows.

One of the trees was a large sugar maple tree.

One of its limbs came toward the dining room.

A not full grown squirrel sat on that limb & looked at me for a long time about everyday.

Sometimes it would just lay on its stomach with all four paws dangling in the air looking at me.

+

My heart had a relapse in June of 1986.

Instead of starting all up again in bed,
I decided it was best to walk outside in the fresh air of the front porch and lay on a lounge chair with my pajamas on.

The porch was 90 feet from Highland Avenue,
and the people in Fort Thomas were considerate while I recuperated for months outside.

As soon as I walked out on the front porch to lie down,
a red cardinal hopped up to me.

I wanted to do something for it,
so I went inside and got it a peanut.

This, in tum, continued off and on thru the day.

Later, in the day there was a blue and white splash on the concrete porch,
and it was a blue jay,
which did not seem to know how to land on a hard surface.

It quickly grabbed the peanut and flew across the street and dropped it in a bush.

The blue jay thought the red cardinal and l were playing a game,
and the blue jay did not know the peanut was to be eaten, too.

I used to like the sound of the blue jays in California and here.

The blue jay kept playing and later went and brought a few more blue jays to me.

They would fly by and take the peanut in my hand as well as hop up and take it from my hand.

The cardinals and the blue jays were polite and did not poop on the porch.

The squirrel,
that had looked at me for months in bed,
came up on the porch and ate out of my hand and would bring me a walnut.

When it rained the bugs would not come into the house,
so, I would open the front door and lock the screen open,
the cardinals and the blue jays would come in the house,
and the squirrel would come in and sit on the daybed where I was lying down.

People would come and visit me, too.

Never before had the wild animals taken a loving compassionate look at me,
let alone come to be with me,
until this time!

Pictures were taken of a trusting squirrel with me.

Other species came to see me later,
and occasionally still today,
of which I could write a book about [in part, later in Chapter 6].

The so-called scientists are wrong about things in their textbooks about the wild animals.

I’m not in heaven,
and we have to go through troubles yet here on earth.

God was not happy with what happened to my heart.

The Holy Spirit sent the wild animals to me!

and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.  John 14:26

I worked my way up to walking 2 miles.

I was told not to run,
even though I was known as a fast runner,
but I used an excuse to run between intersections,
even though I was not supposed to.

One day l was driving up Cincinnati on I-71,
and a policeman,
whom I did not know,
pulled me over.

He got out,
told me to stop running,
got back into his cruiser,
and left without saying I did anything wrong with my driving!

I stopped running between intersections.

“Rebellion is as bad as the sin of witchcraft,
and stubbornness is as bad as worshipping idols.

So because you have rejected the word of The LORD,
He has rejected you”  1 Samuel 15:23a (‘NLT)

On May 20, 2014 in Florence, KY,
a young man was telling me about Jim (“Eefee”) Vorhees and what a super football player he was.

I told him that we both went to the same high school and university.

[Years earlier] Eefee was explosive on the field as a running back.

His coach at Western Kentucky University was Jerry Glanville,
who became head coach of the Houston Oilers and later the Atlanta Falcons.

When Coach Glanville came to play the Cincinnati Bengals,
he would honor Eefee Vorhees by having him come over and sit on the bench with his team [during the game].

Eefee lost a substantial part of his heart like I did.

I said to Eefee that he needed to work his way up to walking up to 2 miles a day for his heart to live.

Eefee said he didn’t want to rest for two hours or more restoring his heart resting after his walk.

He decided not to do the cardiac walk,
and he died.

+

I tore the cartilage in my left knee,
and after examining it,
Dr. Michael O’Brien in Southgate, Kentucky wanted to do orthoscopic surgery in the knee.

The chief surgeon of a hospital told me personally not to do it because of my heart;
I told him that all they were going to do is go in with a small camera and cut away part of the cartilage of my knee;
and, he said no.

I was not able to do my cardiac walks as I needed to.

I met David Whittle in a small church in Bellevue, Kentucky.

He had fought a bear with his bare hands and defeated it,
even though he got scratched.

He was a bouncer at the Fort Thomas Pub before he got saved.

He told me there was going to be a prayer meeting on a Friday and Saturday night in the upper room of the Fort Thomas YMCA and asked me if I wanted to come.

I told him to go ahead on Friday night,
and if it was any good l would go.

He said it was good,
so I went on Saturday.

The meeting was held by a state policeman and his wife who lived in Hamilton, Ohio.

Toward the end of the meeting,
they asked if anyone wanted prayer,
and I went forward.

I felt the presence of The Holy Spirit,
The Helper,
The Counselor,
The Spirit Of Truth!

I told them about my knee and told them about other ailments,
including my heart.

The wife got down on her knees,
praying for my knees,
while the husband stood behind me,
praying for me with his hands on my shoulders;
while they were praying a man from the Fort Thomas area came up to me and said,
Jesus loves you;
as soon as he said this,
I received a new knee cap!

It felt like plastic.

When I got home there was something tearing into my new knee cap,
like a calcium deposit or bone spur.

I asked God, The Father to remove whatever it was,
and He did!

I went and saw Dr. Michael O’Brien 10 days later,
and he told me I was healed.

+

The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results.  James 5:16b (NLT)

But God will give glory, honor, and peace to all who do what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Gentiles.  Remans 2:10 (GNB)

Paul Shwartz was Jewish and a friend of mine.

He married my Dad’s secretary.

+

The first time I met Paul was in the 1970’s at an interdenominational charismatic prayer meeting in Fort Thomas,
I felt The Holy Spirit,
The Helper,
The Counselor strong there,
and I felt refreshed like out in the country.

Paul was not a Christian and was there with his lovely and graceful wife, Judy.

Later Paul got saved.

Paul became a strong Christian.

Paul and’Judy became members of a growing independent church on the other side of Northern Kentucky in Florence.

Miraculous healings were taking place at this church,
because the people wanted to please God,
and they sincerely and joyously welcomed The Holy Spirit,
The Helper,
The Counselor!

There was a road in Florence that had the same name as the pastor’s last name,
and a woman hit a bear with her car on the same road.

John Fangman and Glenn Schmitt were members of this church, as well.

Paul and Judy would drive from Fort Thomas to this church daily and pray for me at 6:00 AM.

Paul, also, would come and see me in the hospital.

I was making a courtesy call to this church for what it had done for me.

I got there after the Sunday morning service had started,
and Paul Schwartz was still in the foyer from passing out church bulletins.

He asked me how I was doing,
and I bluntly told him that the MRI had found an aneurysm in my brain.

He proclaimed,
I denounce it in the Name of Jesus Christ! 

I got an MRI after this and the aneurysm was totally gone!

God Himself showed that His message was true by working all kinds of miracles and wonders.

He also gave His Holy Spirit to anyone He chose to.  (Hebrews 2:4 (CEV)

For there is not a word in my tongue,
but, lo,
O Lord Thou knowest it altogether.  Psalm 139:4 (KJV)

I went to see a retired pastor in Owen County, Kentucky. 

When I left his house,
the sky had darkened similar to the sky in Cecil B. DeMille’s 1956 The Ten Commandments. 

I headed East toward 1-75.  

Finally on 1-75,
when I got to 1-275,
looking just northward,
there was a giant, beautiful, full rainbow over the exchange area.  

As l was heading eastward onto 1-275 to Fort Thomas,
I didn’t say anything,
but I thought,
wouldn’t it be nice to drive through a rainbow!  

As I passed Route 16 and started down the hill,
cars were pulling off the road onto the shoulder
(on both sides of the interstate!)
taking in a big, thick rainbow with its top sitting on the bridge ahead!  

I momentarily thought about doing the same as the others,
but, no, I went ahead and drove straight through the magnificent and dazzling rainbow! 

God knows all of our thoughts.

And He Who sat there was like a jasper and sardius stone in appearance;
and there was a rainbow around the throne,
in appearance like an emerald.  Revelation 4:3 (NKJV)

For The Father loves The Son and tells Him everything He is doing,
and The Son will do far greater things than healing this man.
You will be astonished at what He does.  John 5:20 (NLT)

In 2008 a woman came downstairs and rang the doorbell of my apartment.

Her husband was in trouble,
and when I entered their apartment,
his eyes were closed,
he was turning blue-grey,
and his jaw was locking up.

I told her to call 911,
and l yelled at him to try to wake him up, but he was in a coma,
and he wasn’t coming out of it.

I did the most powerful thing that I knew what to do and that was to pray for him in the name of Jesus!

As soon as I prayed,
his eyes opened,
and he lived!

The EMS life squad arrived afterward.

It was my Lord Jesus Who healed him,
and I am His child.

I tell you the truth,
anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter in.  Mark 10:15 (NIV)

God The Father loves you because you love Me, and you believe I come from Him.  John 16:27 (CE’V)

In April, 2011, the wise-guy chief heart surgeon of a hospital in Cincinnati,
cut open my sternum,
put in two by-pass arteries,
and cut out two inches in diameter aneurysm out of my heart.

Afterwards, not before,
he told me that a number of his patients have A – fib and that the top of the stenum never heals back,
but leaves an upside down triangle opening under the skin.

In addition there was a power-crazy egotist on his staff,
who among other bad things,
blatantly insisted I lift weight beyond my personal recovery,
and, wow,
my sternum split open;
so much for recovery.

In November, 2011,
I went to a different hospital,
Christ Hospital,
and had a detailed 256 CT scan done,
which showed from top to bottom,
in addition to the top triangular opening,
that my sternum was open by 5 mm, and because of the length of time already,
may never heal.

There was a higher chance of infection,
and my mobility was considerably lessened.

In the fall of 2012 my upper back hurt.

I called the large orthopaedic center in Edgewood, Kentucky, and surprisingly they were booked solid for awhile,
and the first opening they had was in a different office in Southgate, Kentucky,
which I immediately took.

+

I did not know what was wrong with my back until the doctor took the X – rays,
which showed my back was broken in 3 places.

I was still mobile,
though in pain,
and he ordered a bone scan,
which was completed the next week.

The bone scan showed problems in darkened areas,
not only of the back,
but as expected,
the sternum, as well.

The doctor then ordered a CT scan nearby for the next week,
which I changed to the more comprehensive 256 CT scan at Christ Hospital for comparative purposes.

The day after that CT scan,
I picked up the CT scan results in medical records & called the radiologist who read it,
and he was to call me.

I took the report home and Sang the Doxology;
and, when I finished singing, ” . . . Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost!“,
the phone rang and it was the radiologist,
who told me that the three breaks in my back were totally healed!

He, also, told me that my sternum was now totally healed solid, as well!

Not only that but God wanted no question that He miraculously healed me within the past week,
for the upside down triangle opening at the top of the sternum He miraculously made solid!

I could have gone ahead and canceled the scheduled appointment with the orthopaedic doctor,
but I brought the CT scan discs with me and witnessed to the doctor and his staff, instead.

Out of the about a half a dozen offices of this orthopaedic group God sent me to this office for these things.

This was the very same office where Dr. Michael O’Brien knew about the miraculous healing that Jesus,
The Lion Of The Tribe Of Judah did to my left knee around 20 years earlier!

 Children, you belong to God, and you have defeated these enemies.

God‘s Spirit is in you and is more powerful than the one that is in the world.  1 John 4:4 (CEV)
